·        Bluegrass Crime Stoppers works with all of our local media partners to provide maximum coverage on unsolved crimes and wanted persons.

 

·        More than 8000 cases solved based on tips.

 

·        Trained police personnel assigned on a full time basis to Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.

 

·        The ability to furnish area law enforcement agencies with information on felony crimes, wanted persons, and other criminal activity they would otherwise be unable to obtain.

 

·        The ability to motivate and promote public cooperation and involvement with law enforcement efforts and to reward such involvement.

 

·        Better police-community relations through increased public awareness.

 

·        Prevention of possible crimes before they are actually committed.

 

·        Reawaken public interest in an unsolved case.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Bluegrass Crime Stoppers to be the confidential and anonymous communication path between the community and law enforcement to enable the "see something, say something" approach to making our communities safer.

Meetings are generally the first Tuesday of the month, and take place at Noon. Meetings are held at Members Heritage Credit Union, 2420 Members Way, Lexington, KY 40504 . The public is welcome  and encouraged to attend the meetings to learn what Crime Stoppers is all about!  In addition to attending "in person" we also offer a virtual option.  If interested in attending virtually we ask that you provide a 5 day notice.  You can reach us by calling 859-258-2020.  Please keep in mind that Bluegrass Crime Stoppers cannot control ISP interruptions, network failures or other compatibility with technology factors that may or may not interrupt a virtual meeting.
