1/3/2017 - Beat the Clock Robbery

ON DECEMBER 23 JUST BEFORE 11AM, OFFICERS RESPONDED TO AN ARMED ROBBERY AT BEAT THE CLOCK TAX SERVICE LOCATED AT 1232 VERSAILLES ROAD.  THREE MALE HISPANICS ENTERED THE BUSINESS AND BOUND AN EMPLOYEE AND A BYSTANDER; ROBBING THEM AT GUNPOINT.  THE SUSPECTS FLED IN A BLACK FORD EXPLORER.

OVER THE PAST TWO MONTHS, DETECTIVES WITH THE MAJOR VIOLATORS UNIT HAVE BEEN GETTING REPORTS INVOLVING THE SAME TWO SUSPECTS BREAKING INTO VEHICLES AND SUBSEQUENTLY USING STOLEN CREDIT CARDS AT LOCAL AREA BUSINESSES.  REPORTS ARE COMING IN FROM ALL AREAS OF LEXINGTON.

12/20/2016 - Speedway Robbery

ON DECEMBER 7TH AT 2:30AM A SUBJECT (M/B, 30-40 YEARS OLD, 5’10”, 165LBS) ENTERED THE SPEEDWAY STATION LOCATED AT 2301 PARIS PIKE.  HE HANDED THE CLERK A NOTE INDICATING THIS WAS A ROBBERY.  HE IMPLIED A WEAPON AND ORDERED THE CLERK TO THE GROUND AS HE FLED FROM THE BUSINESS.

12/12/2016 - Lottery Ticket Thefts

ON NOVEMBER 27TH JUST AFTER 2PM, A SUBJECT (M/W 50-65 YEARS OF AGE, THIN BUILD) ENTERED THE LEXINGTON GREEN SHELL STATION POSING AS AN OFFICIAL WITH THE KENTUCKY LOTTERY.  HE GAINED ACCESS TO THE LOTTERY TICKETS AND STOLE APPROXIMATELY 100 HIGH VALUE LOTTERY TICKETS AND LEFT THE STORE.  A FEW HOURS LATER, TWO OTHER SUBJECTS (F/W 20-25 YEARS OF AGE, THIN BUILD, BLONDE HAIR & M/W 20-25 YEARS OF AGE, HEAVY SET, BUZZ CUT) CASHED SEVERAL OF THE STOLEN LOTTERY TICKETS AT THE SHELL STATION ON SARON DRIVE.

11/29/2016 - Andover Theft and Fraudulent Use

ON NOVEMBER 16TH AT 9:30AM, A VEHICLE WAS BROKEN INTO ON SHERBORNE PLACE IN THE ANDOVER NEIGHBORHOOD.  SEVERAL ITEMS OF VALUE INCLUDING CREDIT CARDS WERE STOLEN. THEY WERE QUICKLY USED AT SURROUNDING AREA BUSINESSES.  A SUSPECT AND HIS VEHICLE WERE CAUGHT ON CAMERA IN POSSESSION OF THE STOLEN ITEMS.

11/22/2016 - Lance Newby Homicide - Cold Case File

ON NOVEMBER 11, 2011 AT 7:30PM, LANCE NEWBY WAS CROSSING THE STREET AT WINBURN DRIVE AND FELTNER COURT WHEN AN SUV STRUCK HIM AT HIGH SPEED.  HE LATER DIED FROM THE INJURIES RECEIVED IN THE COLLISION.  THE VEHICLE THAT STRUCK HIM NOR THE DRIVER WERE EVER LOCATED.

ON OCTOBER 24TH AT 3:45AM, AN UNKNOWN SUBJECT WITH A BACKPACK APPROACHED THE SPRINT STORE LOCATED AT 3705 NICHOLASVILLE ROAD.  SECONDS AFTER LOOKING THROUGH THE FRONT GLASS, HE USED A LARGE ROCK TO SMASH HIS WAY THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR.  ONCE INSIDE, HE IMMEDIATELY TORE SEVERAL DEVICES FROM THEIR SECURITY TETHERS AND FLED THE BUSINESS ON FOOT.

11/8/2016 - Stolen EBT CardSOLVED

ON SEPTEMBER 15TH, THREE UNKNOWN SUSPECTS WERE OBSERVED ON CAMERA USING A STOLEN EBT (ELECTRONIC BENEFITS TRANSFER) CARD.  THEY CHARGED OVER $300 AT 7 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

11/1/2016 - Elder Scam

ON SEPTEMBER 8TH, AN 87 YEAR OLD FEMALE VICTIM WAS APPROACHED IN THE PARKING LOT OF KROGER LOCATED AT 1650 BRYAN STATION ROAD.  THERE WERE TWO SUSPECTS THAT ULTIMATELY SCAMMED HER OUT OF AN UNDISCLOSED SUM OF CASH.  THE SUSPECTS ARE DESCRIBED AS MALE AND FEMALE BLACK APPROXIMATELY 40 YEARS OLD.  THE FEMALE SUSPECT WAS CAUGHT ON CAMERA AT A LOCAL BBQ RESTAURANT.

ON SEPTEMBER 16TH AND 17TH THE SPEEDWAY LOCATED AT 1401 LEESTOWN ROAD AND THE THORNTONS LOCATED AT 1040 GEORGETOWN ROAD WERE ROBBED AT GUNPOINT.  IN BOTH CASES, THE SUSPECT MADE NO ATTEMPT TO CONCEAL HIS FACE AND WORE ONLY A BALLCAP.  HE IS DESCRIBED AS A MALE WHITE, 6’ 240LBS.
