4/14/2015 - Financial Crime

THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2015, POLICE OFFICERS HAVE RESPONDED TO FIVE VICTIMS OF CREDIT CARD FRAUD INVOLVING THE SAME SUSPECT.  THE SUSPECT HAS BEEN OBTAINING CREDIT CARD NUMBERS AND RE ENCODING THE INFORMATION ONTO CREDIT CARD BLANKS.  HE HAS BEEN USING THE FRAUDULENT CARDS AT SEVERAL BUSINESSES INCLUDING GAME STOP AND LOWES.  ALL OF THE VICTIMS ATE AT THE SAME UNDISCLOSED RESTAURANT WITHIN DAYS OF HAVING THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION COMPROMISED.

ON 12-07-2014, WINCHESTER POLICE RESPONDED TO A BREAK IN AT ERTEL MEDICINE AND PEDIATRICS.  THE SUSPECT FORCIBLY ENTERED THE CLARK COUNTY PHARMACY AND STOLE A LARGE AMOUNT OF PAIN MEDICATION AND FLED THE STORE IN AN UNKNOWN DIRECTION.  THE SUSPECT IS BELIEVED TO HAVE COMMITTED AN ADDITIONAL PHARMACY BURGLARY IN WHITLEY COUNTY ON OR ABOUT 03-30-2015.  ADDITIONAL BURGLARIES ARE SUSPECTED THROUGHOUT CENTRAL KENTUCKY.

3/31/2015 - Speedway Burglary

ON 02-22-15, LEXINGTON POLICE RESPONDED TO THE SPEEDWAY ON SOUTHLAND DRIVE IN REFEENCE TO A BURGLARY. OFFICERS FOUND THE FRONT DOOR TO THE BUSINESS HAD BEEN FORCED OPEN AND ITEMS FROM WITHIN HAD BEEN TAKEN. SURVEILLANCE VIDEO SHOWS TWO SUSPECTS ENTER THE STORE AND REMOVE ITEMS.

INVESTIGATORS WITH THE LEXINGTON AND NICHOLASVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENTS ARE SEEKING HELP IN IDENTIFYING TWO SUSPECTS WHO THEY BELIEVE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ROBBING BOTH A GAMESTOP STORE IN LEXINGTON AND A SPEEDWAY GAS STATION IN NICHOLASVILLE ON 03-10-15.

ON 03-02-15, LEXINGTON POLICE RESPONDED TO THE SIR PIZZA ON NORTH BROADWAY IN REFERENCE TO A BURGLARY. BUSINESS OWNERS ADVISED THAT THE REAR DOOR WAS PRYED OPEN. VIDEO SHOWS A MASKED SUSPECT INSIDE THE BUSINESS POSSIBLY SEARCHING FOR MONEY.

ON 02-19-15, LEXINGTON POLICE RESPONDED TO THE EXXON GAS STATION IN REFERENCE TO AN ARMED ROBBERY. WITNESSES ADVISED THAT A MALE BLACK SUSPECT WAS OBSERVED INSIDE THE STORE CONCEALING ITEMS INSIDE HIS JACKET. WHEN THE SUSPECT WAS CONFRONTED BY STORE EMPLOYEES, HE SHOVED THE FEMALE CLERK, AND PULLED A KNIFE ON THE OTHER WHILE ATTEMPTING TO FLEE THE STORE.

ON 01-25-15, LEXINGTON POLICE RESPONDED TO AN ALARM AT THE SPEEDWAY ON PARIS PIKE IN REFERENCE TO A ROBBERY. WITNESSES ADVISED THAT A MALE SUSPECT ENTERED THE STORE WITH HIS FACE COMPLETELY COVERED, APPROACHED THE CLERK AND IMPLIED A FIREARM. THE SUSPECT THEN DEMANDED MONEY FROM THE CLERK. THE CLERK COMPLIED AND THE SUSPECT FLED ON FOOT

ON 02-08-15, LEXINGTON POLICE RESPONDED TO THE SPEEDWAY ON EAST NEW CIRCLE ROAD IN REFERENCE TO A ROBBERY. WITNESSES ADVISED THAT A MALE BLACK SUSPECT WEARING A HOODIE ENTERED THE STORE AND FOLLOWED THE CLERK BEHIND THE COUNTER WHERE HE DEMANDED MONEY FROM THE SAFE. THE CLERK COMPLIED AND THE SUSPECT FLED THE STORE ON FOOT WITH OVER $200.

ON 01-11-15, LEXINGTON POLICE RESPONDED TO THE SHELL STATION ON WEST NEW CIRCLE ROAD IN REFERENCE TO A ROBBERY. WITNESSES ADVISED THAT A MALE BLACK SUBJECT FLED THE STORE WITH TWO PACKS OF CIGARETTS. A WITNESS PURSUED THE SUSPECT TO A VEHICLE IN THE PARKING LOT WHEN A MALE WHITE SUSPECT BRANDISHED A HANDGUN TO THE WITNESS, THEN FLED IN THE VEHICLE .

ON 09-18-14, LEXINGTON POLICE RESPONDED TO AN ARMED ROBBERY OF THE CENTRAL BANK ON MAPLELEAF DRIVE. BANK EMPLOYEES STATED THAT A MALE BLACK SUSPECT ENTERED THE BANK WEARING A GREY SWEATSHIRT AND A WHITE BANDANA COVERING HIS FACE. THE SUSPECT IMPLIED A FIREARM DURING THE ROBBERY AND FLED THE BANK ON FOOT WITH APPROXIMATELY $3,800 IN CASH.
